PSO is replacing a non-functional fire alarm system at Karachi's aviation facility with a complete new installation.
The scope is substantial, covering control panel, 45 smoke detectors, manual call points, heat detectors, sounders and 2 km of cable, plus full design and commissioning services. UL-listed equipment is mandatory. This appears to be a one-off project for critical aviation infrastructure. Bidders must have both supply capability for certified fire alarm equipment and installation expertise. The 15-day turnaround from issue (19 August) to quotation deadline (3 September 2026) is tight for site surveys and detailed pricing.
Who can bid: The notice does not explicitly state PEC registration or SECP/NTN requirements. However, bidders typically require valid SECP registration as vendors, active NTN and sales tax registration, and relevant agency certification or dealership for UL-listed fire alarm equipment brands. Pre-qualification for critical infrastructure work at aviation facilities may be required.
