The Agriculture Department is procuring independent financial audit and verification services for a provincial agricultural lending program covering two crop seasons.
With an estimated cost of PKR 10 million and strict SBP panel eligibility requirements, this is a medium-scale professional services contract. The relatively tight submission deadline (less than one month from typical publication) and specific regulatory requirements suggest a well-defined scope. This appears to be a recurring requirement tied to annual crop cycles rather than a one-off engagement.
Who can bid: Only chartered accountant firms enrolled in Category A or B of the State Bank of Pakistan's Panel of Auditors (under Banking Companies Ordinance Section 35(1)) are eligible. Firms must hold current active status on the Federal Board of Revenue's Active Taxpayers List and possess valid NTN and Sales Tax registration. Typically, chartered accountants must be members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and maintain professional indemnity insurance.
