Description / Scope of Work

Indus University of Health Sciences, affiliated with Dow University of Health Sciences and located in Karachi, Sindh, is now accepting admissions for multiple health sciences programs in 2026-27. The university invites applications for Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), a three-year degree program with HEC-recognized curriculum; Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (BSMiT), a four-year program offering specializations in respiratory therapy, critical care science, laboratory science, and diagnostic imaging science; Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH), a four-year program affiliated with Jinnah Sindh Medical University; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a four-year program affiliated with Dow University of Health Sciences; Community Midwifery, a two-year diploma program recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council; Associate Degree in Blood Transfusion Technology (AD-BTT), a two-year program affiliated with the National University of Medical Sciences; and specialized online courses including MRCGP International Structured Training, Family Medicine Practice Training, Diabetes Management Course, and Diabetes Education Certificate. These programs serve healthcare professionals across Sindh province and require various prerequisite qualifications and minimum academic performance standards.

Eligibility criteria vary by program. For DPT, BSMiT, and BSN, applicants typically require completion of intermediate education or equivalent qualifications with a minimum of fifty percent marks and relevant compulsory subjects including physics, chemistry, and biology. BSN applicants aged seventeen to twenty-three years must meet all prerequisites with admission restricted to Sindh residents. Community Midwifery, BSM, and specialized online programs require specific qualifications including intermediate education or equivalent certification from recognized boards and completion of prerequisite medical or nursing training courses. Students must meet HEC-recognized academic standards, and for certain programs such as BSN, migration certificates are required if education was obtained outside Karachi. All applicants must be citizens of Pakistan and provide documentation of academic credentials.

Last dates to apply are staggered: October 24, 2026 for DPT; November 7, 2026 for BSMiT and specialized training programs; November 15, 2026 for BSN entry test; and October 30, 2026 for Community Midwifery. Entry tests are scheduled after application closure for select programs. Interested candidates may contact the admissions office at the university's main campus on Karachi's Karimabad Road, Ground Floor, or via email at admissions@iuhs.edu.pk and phone +92-21-35012709-17 or +92-332-304-0457-50. Complete program details, eligibility requirements, and application procedures are available through the university website and social media channels. Transport service is available from designated locations for candidates attending interviews and entry tests.

For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.

This is an educational admissions notice, not a procurement tender.

Indus University is advertising multiple health sciences programs (DPT, Medical Technology, Public Health, Nursing, and specialized courses) with staggered application deadlines in late 2026. The scope is institutional enrollment rather than goods or services procurement. Applicants must meet discipline-specific prerequisites, primarily intermediate-level education with science subjects. Notable features include HEC affiliation for most programs, syndicate university partnerships, and geographic restriction to Sindh residents for nursing. This represents recurring annual admissions rather than a one-off contract.

Who can bid: Applicants typically require intermediate education (or equivalent) with minimum fifty percent marks and compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology for medical programs). Citizenship of Pakistan is mandatory. Age restrictions apply: BSN candidates aged seventeen to twenty-three. Sindh residency required for BSN. Migration certificates required if studied outside Karachi. Registration with recognized educational boards is typically required.
