Description / Scope of Work
Heavy Industries Taxila invites sealed tenders from reputed firms possessing valid NTN Certificates for the repair and overhauling of machinery and equipment. This procurement is conducted under the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) and Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP) rules on a FOR (Free on Rail) basis. The tender reference is RT-8203A with bid number 8600/DESCOM/25-26/RT-8203A/FOR(B)/SCM dated 18 May 2026. The scope encompasses comprehensive repair and overhauling services with delivery required within 45 days after conclusion of contract. The facility is located in Taxila Cantt, Punjab, and the procurement process follows a single stage two envelope evaluation methodology as per standard bidding documents.
Eligible bidders must be registered with relevant government or semi-government organizations and hold current Sales Tax Department registration and NTN certificates. Firms must provide photocopies of HIT pre-qualification or indexation letters, attested bank statements for the last one year, audited financial reports for the preceding three years, attested CNIC of the Chief Executive or Director, and a certificate on judicial paper worth Rs. 100 duly attested by an Oath Commissioner certifying that the firm is neither a defaulter nor blacklisted by any government organization. Distributors and agents must provide evidence of trade links with the original equipment manufacturer. Bid security consists of a postal order of Rs. 2000 which must be enclosed with the technical proposal in favor of the Director Supply Chain Management Directorate.
