Description / Scope of Work
The Azad Jammu & Kashmir Electricity Department (AJKED) invites pre-qualification applications from contractors and construction firms for allied civil infrastructure works related to the proposed 132kV Grid Station in Authnagam District Neelum, AJK. The project encompasses survey, geotechnical investigation, design and construction of allied civil infrastructure works for the 132kV Grid Station facility. Interested contractors must be registered with WAPDA, NTDC, DISCO, or AJKED in relevant categories and maintain active taxpayer status with valid NTN number and PEC registration in Category C-4 or above as per the relevant code of specialization for civil infrastructure works.
Eligible applicants must possess valid PEC registration with Category C-4 or higher qualification and codes EE-05, CE-10 or above. A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 5,000 is required from all participants. Interested contractors should obtain detailed pre-qualification documents from the office of the Chief Engineer Electricity in Muzaffarabad during office hours from 04-June-2026 to 20-June-2026. Applications must be submitted in sealed envelopes on the official letterhead with proper authorization and stamped by an authorized representative, accompanied by a copy of valid PEC registration certificate.
Sealed applications must reach the office of the Chief Engineer (Electricity), AJKED House, Airport Road Muzaffarabad on or before 10:30 AM on 22-June-2026. Pre-qualification applications will be opened the same day at 11:00 AM in the presence of firm representatives who choose to attend. Only contractors and construction firms pre-qualified under this procedure will be invited to participate in the subsequent bid process. AJKED reserves the right to reject any bids as per Rule-33 (1) of AJK PPRA Rules-2017. The evaluation report will be displayed on the AJK PPRA website for transparency and public access.
