National Grid Company (NGC) of Pakistan Limited invites bids for the construction and completion of civil works, erection, stringing, testing and commissioning of a 220 kV double circuit transmission line from Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project (HPP) to the 500/220/132 kV Sheikh Muhammadi Substation in Punjab province. The project is divided into two lots: Lot-I covering approximately 58 kilometers from Mohmand Dam HPP to Jamrud, and Lot-II covering approximately 42 kilometers from Jamrud to Sheikh Muhammadi Substation, for a combined total of approximately 100 kilometers of transmission line infrastructure. This project is being executed under NGC's own resources and represents a significant addition to Pakistan's power transmission capacity. The bidding document reference is TLC-29-2026, issued in May 2026.
Eligible bidders must demonstrate technical capability, financial stability, and relevant experience in transmission line construction and commissioning projects of similar or greater complexity. Bidders are required to submit valid trade licenses, tax registration certificates, and other mandatory compliance documents as specified in the bid data sheet. A bid security deposit in the form of bank guarantee or demand draft is mandatory for bid validity. The bid evaluation will be conducted following a single stage two envelope process, with technical and commercial proposals evaluated separately.
The complete bidding document comprises Volume-1 (Commercial and Technical Conditions) and Volume-II (Drawings, Transmission Line Route and Environmental Reports in soft form). Interested bidders should obtain the bidding document from the Transmission Line Design Department at NGC Head Office, 106-WAPDA House, Lahore, Pakistan. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the bidding document number and lot identification. The bid opening will be conducted on the date specified in the bid data sheet.
