Description / Scope of Work
The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences at the University of Karachi invites sealed tenders from EPADS-registered vendors and suppliers for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of one 300 KVA diesel generator set with standby rating of minimum 270 kVA / 216 kW. The generator must be American, European, Japanese or equivalent make, configured as a six-cylinder, turbo-charged, water-cooled generating set suitable for operation at 50°C inside a powerhouse with electronic control panel featuring ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) and AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) systems. This tender is issued under the single-stage, two-envelope procedure through the EPADS (E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System) portal and is located in Sindh province at the Karachi campus.
Bidders must be OEM-authorized service providers for both engine and alternator, with in-house capacity for minor and major overhauling and laboratory facilities for fuel pump and injector calibration. The standard warranty period must be one year covering all spare parts, and the supplier must provide free service for the first three years including recommended spares. Bid security equivalent to 2% of bid value must be submitted as a pay order, along with a tender fee of Rs. 1,000 (non-refundable) deposited in United Bank Limited Account No. 1146-291497301. Bidders must be registered with the Sindh Revenue Board and income tax department where applicable.

Sealed bids with original bid security pay orders and deposit slips must be submitted through EPADS by 21-July-2026 at 11:30 AM, with tender opening scheduled for the same day at 12:00 noon.
