Description / Scope of Work
The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Karachi, Sindh, invites electronic bids for the annual supply of general and housekeeping items as per the detailed list provided in the bidding documents. This is a single-stage, one-envelope procurement under Rule 46(1) of the Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 (Amended 2019). The tender is referenced as NIT No. NICVD/TN/Khi/SC/No. 001/26-27 and Tender No. 13-2026. Bidders must register at EPADS SPPRA portal as electronic submission is mandatory; no physical bids will be accepted. The scope encompasses supply of various general and housekeeping items required for the operation and maintenance of the institute's facilities in support of cardiac patient care and management.
Eligible bidders must be manufacturers, importers, or duly authorized distributors. All bids must include samples for quoted items (except those already in use at NICVD) submitted three days before opening. Bidders are required to provide a guarantee certificate confirming items are new, submit last year's income tax certificate, provide proof of custom duties and tax payment, and furnish undertakings for return and replacement of expired or near-expiry stock as per NICVD policy. Manufacturers or authorized distributors must be registered with the Sales Tax Department under the Sales Tax Act 1990. Prices quoted must remain unchanged during the fiscal year with supporting documentary proof. Local items must be supplied within 30 days and C&F basis items within 90 days from order placement.
Bidding documents are available for download from 10-07-2026 to 30-07-2026. Electronic bids must be submitted on or before 30-07-2026 at 11:00 a.m., with opening scheduled for the same date and time. All bids must be quoted using the sample tender proforma provided, with detailed specifications, manufacturer name, country of origin, registration number, and printed price lists indicating trade and retail prices. Supplies will be delivered at NICVD premises on the supplier's risk and cost. Non-compliance with terms and conditions may result in cancellation of purchase orders, forfeiture of earnest money, and engagement of second-ranked bidders at supplier's expense.
