Description / Scope of Work
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi invites quotations for water-proofing works at the overhead water tanks (OHWTs) of IBA Boys' Hostel, Blocks B and C, located on University Road, Karachi, Sindh. The project encompasses dismantling of existing plaster up to 3/4 inch thickness covering 2,222.92 square feet, application of SikaTop-550 Seal waterproofing in two coats on 1,707.29 square feet with a 5-year warranty, internal cement plaster on 2,222.92 square feet, external cement plaster on 1,397.92 square feet, and replacement of tank connection pipelines and outlet piping using 4-inch PN-20 PPRC pipes with approved makes including DADEX, STEELEX or EUROGULF. All work includes material removal from site, surface preparation, testing, curing, labour, and commissioning. The project is estimated as one consolidated job with SST 8% applicable on the total amount.
Eligible bidders must submit quotations item-wise as per the bill of quantities and must conduct a mandatory site visit scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2026 at 12:00 PM at IBA Boys' Hostel. Bidders are required to be responsive and capable of executing waterproofing works to manufacturer specifications with approved applicators. No advance payment is permitted without a bank guarantee, and liquidity damages at 2% per month will be imposed for delayed delivery. The rate quoted is final and cannot be amended, and all government taxes including income tax and stamp duty at 0.35% will be charged as per applicable rates.
Quotations must be submitted to the Purchase Department, IBA Main Campus, University Road, Karachi by 23 July 2026 at 11:00 AM. Bid documents can be obtained from the Purchase Department at telephone 03323760498 Extension 2150. IBA reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation, split awards among multiple bidders, or modify quantities without assigning reasons. Payment will be made through crossed cheque upon invoice receipt and delivery of items. All materials are subject to final inspection at delivery, and the successful bidder must comply with manufacturer specifications and all SROs.
