For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
PSO seeks a contractor to prepare and coat 9,000 m² of product pipelines at Port Qasim with surface preparation, epoxy mastic base coat (300 microns total), and polyurethane topcoat (60 microns). The work is small-scale, one-off, and must be completed within 30 days, making timeline discipline critical. Contractor must self-supply all labor, equipment, and utilities; no site support provided. Liquidated damages penalty is steep at 0.1% per day. Work involves hazardous-zone operations, so H&S compliance and trained workforce are non-negotiable. One-year defects warranty is required.
Who can bid: The notice does not explicitly state registration requirements. However, for industrial coating/painting work in Pakistan, bidders are typically required to hold valid PEC registration (if applicable as engineering contractor), NTN from FBR, and relevant business registration. PSO's own vendor registration may be mandatory. Capability to provide certified safety-compliant workers and access to approved coating materials (Kaizen or equivalent epoxy mastic, polyurethane per ISO standards) is essential.
