Description / Scope of Work

Pakistan High Commission London is seeking comprehensive structured cabling and network infrastructure installation across Buildings 35-36, Building 34, and the Marquee Area in London. The scope of work encompasses installation of Category 6 (Cat 6) UTP cabling to support Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, with dual-port RJ45 network outlets installed throughout designated floors and office locations. The project covers the Chancery Hall, basement, ground, first, second, third, and fourth floors across multiple buildings, with a total requirement for approximately 330 network connection points and 20 Wi-Fi Access Points. The installation shall follow a distributed hierarchical network architecture with 24-port and 48-port managed network switches appropriately sized for each building and floor to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure suitable for diplomatic and operational environments.

All cabling must be tested and certified using calibrated cable certification testers with comprehensive test reports provided upon completion. The infrastructure requires complete labelling of all cables, patch panels, outlets, and network cabinets in accordance with international structured cabling standards. Bidders must demonstrate expertise in enterprise-grade network infrastructure installation, possession of appropriate certifications in structured cabling systems, and ability to handle both copper and fibre optic backbone installations. The project includes removal of old cables and supply of cable management accessories, trunking, conduits, and all necessary installation materials to support current and future network expansion requirements.

Bidders should obtain complete technical documentation and detailed specifications from the Pakistan High Commission London. Submission of bids, technical qualifications, project experience documentation, and financial proposals must be made according to the procurement timeline. The tender emphasizes data security, system reliability, and compliance with international standards for diplomatic facility infrastructure. Interested contractors should contact the High Commission for detailed bid documents, clarifications, and submission procedures.

Large-scale structured cabling project for diplomatic facility spanning three interconnected buildings with 330+ network outlets and 20 Access Points. Requires expertise in Cat 6 installations, fibre optic backbone deployment, and systems testing/certification. Scope includes complete infrastructure removal and reinstallation with strict adherence to international standards. Project scale suggests contract value potentially £150k-300k GBP. Tight coordination required across multiple floors and buildings with operational continuity constraints typical of active diplomatic premises.

Who can bid: Typically requires PEC registration in Pakistan (Category A or equivalent), NTN/SECP registration, and relevant certifications in structured cabling systems (BICSI, CompTIA Network+, or manufacturer-specific). Experience on similar institutional or diplomatic projects highly advantageous. Bidders must demonstrate technical capability for fibre optic and copper cabling installations with testing and certification competency.
