Tender Details
Description / Scope of Work
The National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC) is procuring 500KV single-circuit steel tower leg and body extensions, excluding main leg members, for asset management under NGC's own resources. This is a national competitive bidding procurement conducted under a single-stage two-envelope bidding procedure. The procurement covers galvanized transmission line latticed steel tower material, with detailed technical specifications and drawings provided in Volume-II and Volume-III of the bidding document. The scope excludes main leg members and is specific to extensions required for NGC's transmission infrastructure maintenance and asset management programme across Pakistan.
Bidders must meet eligibility criteria including registration with relevant authorities and possession of required certifications for manufacturing galvanized steel tower components. Bid security will be required as specified in the Bid Data Sheet. The bidding document is available in three volumes covering commercial conditions, technical specifications, and reference drawings. Bidders must comply with all technical requirements, inspection protocols, and performance standards outlined in the specifications section.
The bidding document can be obtained from NGC through the tender portal or directly from NGC offices. Bids must be submitted in two envelopes—one for technical evaluation and one for financial proposal—by the stated closing date of 17th September 2026. Bid opening will follow the prescribed schedule. Interested bidders should note that an Integrity Pact will be required from the successful bidder upon Letter of Acceptance. For further information and document acquisition, bidders should contact NGC directly with reference to bidding document number GSO-07M-2026.
For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

NGC is seeking specialized galvanized steel tower extension components for 500KV transmission lines—a significant infrastructure procurement.
The scope excludes main leg members, suggesting modular replacement or augmentation work. Single-stage two-envelope procedure indicates technical and financial separation; bidders must meet design, manufacturing, and quality standards for high-voltage latticed steel structures. This appears to be recurring asset management procurement rather than a one-time project, typical for national grid infrastructure maintenance cycles.
Who can bid: Bidders must typically be registered with SECP (manufacturing entities) and possess valid NTN. Manufacturing capability for galvanized steel tower components and relevant ISO/quality certifications are typically required. NGC's own resource procurement may restrict participation to vendors meeting NGC's vendor qualification criteria; check Sections II and III for specific NGC pre-qualification requirements.
