Description / Scope of Work
University of Okara, a public sector university established under Government of the Punjab Act XIII of 2016, invites sealed bids for two procurement packages for the financial year 2025-26. The first package (Tender No. DT(PR) 04 / 2025-26) is for the provision and fixing of a solar system for water supply motor at the university campus. The second package (Tender No. DT(PR) 05 / 2025-26) covers the supply of street lights and ceiling lights at the university premises in Okara, Punjab. Both projects aim to enhance energy efficiency and infrastructure development on campus. Funding will be sourced from own sources, government funds, or recurring grants from the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Eligible bidders include suppliers, manufacturers, authorized agents, dealers, and distributors registered with relevant registration authorities and tax departments including Income Tax and Sales Tax authorities. Bidders must not be blacklisted by any government department, procurement agency, or the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA). Government-owned enterprises may participate only with due authorization from competent authorities. Joint ventures, consortiums, and associations are permitted, with all members jointly and severally liable for contract execution. Bidders associated with firms providing consultancy services for bid document preparation are ineligible. Standard bid security requirements and contract performance guarantees apply as per procurement rules.
Detailed bidding documents are available as per the advertisement and tender notice. Bids must be submitted by the last date and time specified in the tender notice. The bid opening will occur on the scheduled date and time as announced. Prospective bidders should obtain complete bidding documents and submit proposals in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders (ITB) outlined in Section I of the bidding document. All inquiries and submissions should be directed to the University of Okara procurement office. The procurement follows standard public sector procurement procedures and methods applicable in Punjab.
