Description / Scope of Work
King Edward Medical University, Lahore invites sealed bids from manufacturers, authorized distributors, and well-reputed firms registered in sales tax and income tax departments for the procurement of stainless steel work stations and floor standing cabinets for Bio Safety Lab Level III (BSL-III) facilities. The tender is issued under PPRA Rules 2014, section 38(2)a (amended to date) for the financial year 2025-26. The procurement is on a free delivery to consignee's end basis, with delivery location at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Punjab. The scope includes supply of specialized laboratory furniture and equipment meeting BSL-III safety standards and specifications as detailed in the bidding documents.
Eligible bidders must be well-reputed firms, distributors, retailers, or authorized agents with sound financial position and experience in supply of relevant laboratory items. Bidders must be registered in sales tax and income tax departments with active professional tax of the current financial year. For imported goods, sole agents or importers in Pakistan are eligible. A bid security of 2 percent of the estimated value in the form of a CDR (Call Deposit Receipt) or bank guarantee in the name of the Vice Chancellor, KEMU, Lahore, must be submitted with the technical proposal. Bids remain valid for 180 days from the submission date.
Bidding documents are available for download from the King Edward Medical University website at https://kemu.edu.pk and the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority website at http://eproc.punjab.gov.pk/viewtender.aspx. Sealed bids should be submitted in two envelopes containing separate technical and financial proposals, addressed to the Vice Chancellor, King Edward Medical University, Lahore, at the Senior Purchase Office, Patiala Block, KEMU, Lahore. Technical proposals will be opened on 06/06/2026 at 10:30 am in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives through the PPRA EPADS online portal. Bidders may submit grievances against technical evaluation within 5 days, followed by financial bid opening and a 10-day grievance period before contract award to the lowest evaluated bidder.
