Description / Scope of Work
The University of Engineering and Technology Taxila invites open e-tenders for the repair and maintenance of electrical transformers at its campuses in Punjab. The procurement covers repairing of two 200 KVA transformers and one 100 KVA transformer located at the Electrical Engineering Department (EED), Mechanical Engineering Department (MED), and Central Library facilities at UET Taxila. The estimated contract value is Rs. 976,326 with a project duration of 30 days. This maintenance scheme is being conducted through the newly introduced E-Tendering system as per Notification No. SO(I&C-1)5-4/2024 dated 09-05-2024, following PPRA Rules 2014 and subsequent amendments.
Contractors eligible to participate must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the financial year 2025-26 and possess active filer status with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and PRA status. Bidders are required to submit 3% of the estimated cost as earnest money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) to the Building and Works Section at UET Taxila before 12:00 PM on the closing date. The tender will follow a single-stage, one-envelope procedure. If the lowest quoted rate exceeds 5% of the estimated cost, the winning contractor must deposit additional performance security within 15 days or forfeit the earnest money.
Bidding documents will be available immediately after publication on the PPRA website and EPADS portal until 30-06-2026 at 12:00 PM. Online tender submission through the E-Tendering Website of PPRA and EPADS will close at 12:00 PM on 30-06-2026, with public bid opening scheduled for 12:30 PM the same day in the presence of the tender committee and interested bidders.
