The Highway Division Vehari, Punjab, invites sealed bids for the construction and beautification of Tibba Sultan Pur Road and Khanewal Chowk in District Vehari. The estimated amount of work is M 27.379 million with earnest money requirement of M 1.369 million. The project completion period is two months. The scope includes comprehensive road construction and rehabilitation works spanning cold milling of existing asphalt or concrete surfaces, dismantling of brick masonry and road pavement, regular excavation and disposal of unsuitable material within one mile radius, earth work compaction to 95-100 percent specification using power road rollers, laying of sub-base and base courses using crushed stone aggregate of approved quality, and priming and tack coat applications. The project also encompasses asphaltic concrete (ABC) carpeting with four percent bitumen at three inches thickness, provision of precast concrete pavers of varying thicknesses (60 mm and 80 mm at 7000 psi), ornamental kerb stone installation with painting, and comprehensive road safety and beautification features.
The bid documents include detailed specifications for traffic lane marking with thermoplastic paint, cat eyes installation, aluminum road studs with reflectors, and multiple types of signage boards including project boards, delineator boards, directional signs, and circular sign boards equipped with diamond-grade reflective materials and GI pipe posts of various heights. The contractor must be capable of managing large-scale road construction involving heavy machinery including self-propelled milling machines, dumpers, pumps, water lorries, compressors, and power road rollers. Eligible bidders must possess relevant experience in road construction, appropriate business registration, and technical competence for civil works of this magnitude.
