Description / Scope of Work
The City School, a well-reputed educational institution, invites sealed proposals from experienced, qualified, and financially sound catering operators for the operation of twenty-three school canteens across the South Region covering Karachi, Interior Sindh, and Quetta. The selected operator will be responsible for providing hygienic, nutritious, and high-quality food services to students and staff in accordance with the School Canteen Policy, SOPs, and Hygiene Standards. The scope of work includes operating school canteens during school hours at assigned campuses, providing fresh food and hygiene services, complying with all school policies and health standards, displaying approved menu items and prices as directed by the school, installing and maintaining kitchen equipment at the operator's own cost if required, employing uniformed and police-verified staff with valid medical certificates, and paying agreed monthly rent and utility charges.
Applicants must meet all mandatory requirements including valid National Tax Number (NTN) or STRN, registered business entity status with no blacklisting by government or institutional bodies, minimum three to five years proven experience in school, institutional, or industrial food service with reference letters from previous clients, demonstrated ability to manage multiple campus operations, financial capacity to invest in kitchen setup and equipment with uniforms, and ability to provide post-dated security cheques covering six months license fee with no outstanding dues from previous clients. Food safety and hygiene commitment requires HACCP certification, staff holding valid Food Handler Certificates, current health and medical clearance certificates for all canteen staff, and police verification certificates for all employees.
Applicants must submit a sealed envelope marked "Canteen Operator Proposal — Confidential" containing completed Application for Expression of Interest, valid CNIC/NTN business registration certificate, proposed menu with prices and portion sizes, staff list with CNIC numbers and designations, and medical health fitness certificates for canteen staff along with relevant food safety training certificates. Submission should be made to the Supply Chain Department, The City School — South Regional Office, Smart Tower Plot # C-10/2, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road, Liaquatabad Area opposite the Finance and Trade Centre (FTC) Building, with contact phone 021-32802980. The deadline for submission is 27 June 2026 at 5:00 PM. Shortlisted operators will be invited for site visit, menu tasting, and interview before final selection.
