Description / Scope of Work
Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) invites sealed bids from pre-qualified contractors for the solarization project titled Solarization of Masajid & Worship Places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-Additional 1440 Masajid under ADP No. 306/210435 (2025-26). The project involves initial site surveys, procurement, supply, transportation, installation of solar systems including civil works, commissioning, testing, and handover across four packages covering districts throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province including Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan, Torghar, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Dir, Chitral, Malakand, Haripur, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Tank, and DI Khan. Total project scope spans 1440 masajid with estimated contract value of PKR 1,431.35 million across four packages valued between PKR 350.88 and 373.74 million each.
Bidding is restricted to six pre-qualified firms notified vide Notification No. PD (Solar-PIU) Solarization of Projects/2023-24/PD/7080-85 dated 05-03-2024: M/s Solar Tech Pvt Ltd, M/s MAK Pumps Pvt Ltd, M/s Renewable Power Pvt Ltd, M/s TSK Engineering International Pvt Ltd, M/s PAK Reliable Engineering Co. (SMC-PVT) LTD, and M/s Akhunzda Associates Pvt Ltd. Eligible bidders must hold Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) license in category C-3 or above with mandatory specialization codes, maintain active registration with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and submit separate bids for each package. Bid security of PKR 2% of estimated cost (between 7.02 and 7.47 million per package) in the form of bank draft or guarantee valid for 28 days beyond bid validity is mandatory.
Bid documents are available upon written application with non-refundable fee of PKR 5,000 per package from the employer's office or downloadable from e-PADS. A pre-bid meeting will be held on July 16, 2026 at 1100 hrs at PEDO House, Sector 38/B-2, Phase-V, Hayatabad, Peshawar. Bids must be submitted electronically through E-PAK Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) on or before July 28, 2026 by 1400 hrs with sealed hard copies delivered simultaneously. Financial proposals will be opened on the same day at 1430 hrs at PEDO House in presence of procurement committee.
