Description / Scope of Work
The Office of the Superintendent District Jail Lahore invites electronic bids for the procurement of wheat (FAQ variety) for the duration period 2025-26. The tender is for the supply of 180,000 kilograms of wheat with a total estimated amount of PKR 19,800,000. This e-procurement is conducted through the Punjab E-Procurement System under the authority of the Prisons Department Punjab. The goods are required to be delivered at the jail gate in Lahore, Punjab, with no carriage expenses payable by the procuring agency. All quoted prices must be inclusive of taxes and transportation costs.
To participate in this tender, bidders must be registered on the Punjab E-Procurement System and meet eligibility criteria including being free from blacklisting by any government department or PPRA. Bidders must not have conflicts of interest and should provide evidence of legal compliance. A bid security of 2% of the estimated cost (PKR 396,000) is required in the form of a refundable CDR in favor of the Superintendent District Jail Lahore. The successful bidder will be required to deposit an additional 2% performance guarantee prior to contract execution.
Bidding documents can be downloaded free of cost from the PPRA website, Punjab E-Procurement System, and the Prisons Department website (www.prisons.punjab.gov.pk). E-bids must be uploaded on the Punjab E-Procurement System by 21 July 2026 at 11:00 AM, with opening scheduled for the same day at 11:30 AM. Bids will only be accepted through the e-procurement system; no manual submissions by hand, mail, or courier are permitted. The bid validity period is 90 days from submission. The Inspector General of Prisons Punjab reserves the right to reject all bids or proposals under Rule-35 of PPR-2014.
