Description / Scope of Work
The Local Government and Rural Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa invites sealed tenders for the installation of solar pole lights across multiple locations in Upper Mohmand district under reference MRS (2025 1st Bi Annual) / Non MRS-items. Four separate works are being tendered with a combined estimated cost of approximately 79.27 million rupees. The projects include installation of solar pole lights in Chanda and Nahqi Stadium in Yousaf Khel, D-Chowk Bazar and Kussay Bazar in Tehsil Upper Mohmand; installation in N Gat Bazar, Ali Rahman Road, and Bautha Bazar in Chinary, Tehsil Safi Upper Mohmand; installation on Chahan Bazaar, Chai Dargah and Ali Dehmen Road in Tehsil Baizai Upper Mohmand; and installation of single arm solar street lights at Katar Kaley in District Mohmand. All works are to be completed as per work orders issued by the procuring entity.
Bidders must be registered with CNIC and hold valid PEC registration in solar energy system, solar installation, or general electrical works categories. Contractors require valid electrical inspectorate registration with Class A and B works authorization, valid centralized enlistment with C and W authorities, and current federal and provincial tax registrations with FBR and KPRA. Bidders must also maintain active registration with PPIB (formerly AEDB) and SECP as required. Bid security is mandated at two percent of the engineer estimate for bids within ten percent of estimate, with additional eight percent security required for bids between ten and twenty percent below estimate. For bids exceeding twenty percent below estimate, a detailed rate analysis on MRS 2025 format must accompany the bid with additional security equivalent to the differential amount.
Bidding documents can be downloaded from the official EPADS website (www.portal.kp.eprocure.gov.pk) and the KPPRA website (www.kppra.gov.pk) after publication of the notice. Electronic bids must be submitted through the EPADS portal by 11:00 AM on August 3, 2026, with hard copies of bid security and scanned documents uploaded simultaneously. Bid opening is scheduled for 12:30 PM on the same date at the office of the Assistant Director (Senior), Upper Mohmand, where authorized representatives may attend. All bids remain valid for ninety days from closing date. Contractors should contact the procuring entity at the Tehsil LG&RDD office (Ghallanai) for further information and clarifications.
