Description / Scope of Work
Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Topi, Sindh, invites sealed proposals from eligible firms and suppliers for the prequalification of suppliers for the supply of fresh and dry food items under tender reference GIK/IFP/PCDC-1136/28. The procurement covers two main categories: fresh items including fresh fruits, vegetables, beef, and mutton; and dry items comprising spices, masalas, pulses, beans, rice, grains, sugar, salt, and other dry grocery items. The prequalification process is open to all eligible suppliers operating in Pakistan and is intended to establish a framework of prequalified bidders for subsequent participation in the bidding process. The initial contract period shall be for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and the approval of the competent authority.
Applicants must be registered with the relevant tax authorities and possess valid NTN and GST registration. Suppliers may apply for one or both categories, with separate sealed and clearly marked envelopes required for each category. Only prequalified applicants will be invited to participate in the subsequent bidding process, and framework agreements may be executed with successful bidders. Applicants must have at least five years of relevant experience in supplying fresh or dry food items to reputable organizations, institutions, universities, hotels, or similar establishments. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 2,000 is required with each application.
Prequalification documents may be obtained from the office of the undersigned during office hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or downloaded from the GIK Institute website at www.giki.edu.pk. Applications accompanied by the processing fee must reach the address below by 1500 hours on July 29, 2026, with late applications not entertained. The institute reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals at any stage of the prequalification process.
