Maintenance of Breach Section at Marala Barrage by Punjab Irrigation Department

The Punjab Irrigation Department invites tenders for the maintenance of breach section at the right marginal bund of Marala Barrage under the Single Stage Single Envelope bidding procedure. This work is for the 1st Bi-Annual Market Rate System effective from June 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 2,851,097 (approximately 2.85 million rupees). The project scope includes boring for tubewell in shingle, gravel and rock, boring in various soil types, providing and installing VC blind pipe, PVC bail plugs, and manhole covers with complete installation and testing. The work is located at Marala in Punjab province and is critical for maintaining the irrigation infrastructure's functionality.

Engineering firms and contractors must be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council with the CE-04 specialization code and registered with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority to be eligible. Bidders must submit valid PEC registration for the year 2025-26 along with government receipts for professional tax, CNIC, and PRA registration fees. Earnest money or bid security equal to 3% of the estimated cost (Rs. 85,533) must be deposited digitally through the Punjab e-Procurement System linked with Bank of Punjab. The bid validity period is 90 days from the tender opening date.

Bidding documents are available free of cost on the Punjab e-Procurement System at https://ep.punjab.gov.pk and the PPRA website at www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk. Contractors must submit bids digitally through the Punjab e-Procurement System by July 29, 2026 up to 11:00 AM. The tender opening will be held on July 29, 2026 at 11:30 AM at the office of the Executive Engineer, Marala Headworks Division UCC, Marala. All bidders or their authorized representatives are invited to attend the opening ceremony where quoted rates will be announced.
