Description / Scope of Work
The Directorate General of Archaeology, Government of the Punjab, invites sealed bids for preservation, restoration, improvement, management and upgradation of Hiran Minar in Sheikhupura. The scope of work includes restoration of the gateway, craft bazaar, electric vehicle parking, viewing deck and landscaping at this historic monument. The project is located in Sheikhupura, Punjab, and bidders are expected to complete all work within six months from the date of contract award. The estimated cost of the project forms the basis for bid security calculation at five percent of the estimated cost. This is a significant heritage conservation initiative aimed at enhancing the facility and visitor experience at one of Punjab's important archaeological sites.
Eligible bidders must be registered contractors with the relevant authorities and possess valid tax registration and business credentials. Bidders must submit a bid security equivalent to five percent of their estimated cost. The bidding procedure follows a single stage two envelope system, where technical bids and financial bids are submitted separately and evaluated accordingly. Bidders are required to meet all eligibility criteria before technical evaluation and must provide evidence of past experience in similar preservation and construction works.
Bid documents may be obtained from the Directorate General of Archaeology office located at 60-A, Garden Block, Garden Town, Lahore. Sealed bids comprising separate technical and financial envelopes must be submitted before the deadline specified in the bid data sheet. The bid opening will be conducted as per the schedule mentioned in the bidding documents. All bidders must comply with integrity pact requirements and other mandatory provisions outlined in the bidding documents.
