Misc Repair, Electric, Water Supply and B&R Works Tender by GE Defence Forces HQ Chaklala

The Office of GE DFHQ Chaklala, under Military Engineer Services (MES), invites sealed tenders from reputed contractors and firms for 16 works to be executed during the current financial year 2026-27, in accordance with PPRA Rules 2004 (Government of Pakistan). The scope covers miscellaneous repair and maintenance works, water supply works, electric works, Sui gas works, term contracts for periodical services and decoration under B&R-II Sub Divisions, external and internal electric supply services including minor, deposit and renewal works across three zones under E&M Sub Divisions, internal and external water supply services, and B&R works including minor, deposit and renewal works under B&R-I and B&R-II Sub Divisions. The works are located within the Chaklala cantonment area of Punjab, and the at-par cost for each package is indicated on the respective tender documents.

Interested contractors and firms must submit an application for pre-qualification or issuance of tender documents; only those with sufficient experience in the relevant field and meeting special conditions for the job and area will be issued documents. Firms must certify they are not involved in litigation with any government department and that no special report from the Directorate of Inspection and Evaluation is outstanding against them. All contractors, whether enlisted or not with MES, must certify in writing that they are registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and submit a copy of their PEC registration. Firms enlisted with MES must be in category 'E' or above; those not on the approved list may still apply by depositing earnest money equal to 2% of the estimated cost along with a certificate detailing works executed during the last two years and works in hand, using the prescribed performa.

Tenders must be submitted at the GE DFHQ Chaklala office by 11:30 hrs on 03 August 2026 and will be publicly opened the same day at 1200 hrs in the presence of contractors or their authorized representatives. The notice has been forwarded to the Deputy Director, PPRA (Cabinet Division), Islamabad, for uploading on the PPRA website www.ppra.org.pk. This is a bundled annual works package (16 line items) covering routine maintenance, electric, water supply, gas and B&R term contracts across multiple zones at a cantonment site, suggesting recurring rate-contract style work rather than a single large project. Smaller MES-category E and above contractors, as well as non-enlisted firms willing to post 2% earnest money, can compete. Given the multiple zones and sub-divisions, bidders should clarify per-item at-par cost from the actual tender documents since only the composite structure is shown in the notice.

Who can bid: Firms must be PEC-registered and certify no pending litigation with government departments. MES-enlisted firms need category E or above; non-enlisted firms may apply by depositing 2% earnest money with a two-year work history certificate. Typically, an NTN, valid trade license and relevant PEC construction/electrical/mechanical category are also expected for such MES works.
