For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
This is a niche, low-frequency mechanical/electrical relocation job rather than a recurring maintenance contract, likely attracting DG set dealers and electrical contractors with generator handling experience. The requirement for OEM authorization as a CAT distributor/agent narrows the field considerably, favoring established generator suppliers over generic electrical contractors. Financial and experience scoring weighted heavily toward firms with prior large DG set contracts above 5 million rupees, suggesting SLIC expects a mid-to-large scale vendor rather than a small local electrician.
Who can bid: Bidders must be authorized CAT (or equivalent OEM) distributors, assemblers or agents for DG sets, hold NTN/GST/SST registration and Electric Inspector Sindh certification, and possess PEC certification. Typically such generator installation works also require prior experience with similar-capacity DG set contracts and audited financial statements demonstrating adequate turnover.
