The tender encompasses two lots: Lot 1 comprises approximately 300,000 kilograms of dismantle tower material including unserviceable iron, earth wire, hooks, sockets, arking dampers and related components sourced from multiple survey reports; Lot 2 includes 132-KV XLPE power cable copper materials (approximately 507 meters in pieces totalling 6,743 kilograms) along with four dismantled or unserviceable 132-KV indoor and outdoor transformer kits. All materials are stored at warehouse locations in Chichokimallian and Fazaiya Store, LESCO Regional Store Shalamar in Punjab, and are being disposed on an as-is where-is basis. The estimated total quantity across both lots is approximately 306,743 kilograms with a combined bid security requirement of 690,000 Pakistani Rupees.

Bidders must meet standard procurement eligibility criteria and submit bids in compliance with the 36/A procedure of Public Procurement Rules 2004 (PPRA-2004) as amended. Each bid must be accompanied by the specified fixed bid security amount in acceptable form, which must be physically submitted to the office of the Chief Engineer (Materials Management) at LESCO Headquarters before the scheduled bid submission time on 6 August 2026. Interested bidders are permitted to visit and inspect the scrap materials on working days during official business hours prior to bid submission. Reserve prices quoted are exclusive of all applicable taxes, which will be charged separately at the time of final payment according to government regulations.

Detailed bidding documents containing comprehensive terms and conditions are available for download from both the PPRA website and the E-PADS portal at www.eprocure.gov.pk. For further information and clarification, bidders should consult the complete bidding documents available online or contact LESCO directly through their official procurement channels.

For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.

LESCO is disposing approximately 307 metric tons of scrap materials comprising dismantle tower components and redundant power cable copper in two separate lots. This is a high-volume commodity disposal requiring scrap handling and logistics capability. Bid security is substantial (690,000 PKR total), suggesting competitive bidding is anticipated. The tender follows standard PPRA procurement rules with physical inspection available beforehand. The closing date is 6 August 2026, providing standard bidding period. This appears to be a one-off disposal rather than recurring, typical for utility asset clearance operations.

Who can bid: The notice does not explicitly state eligibility restrictions. Typically, bidders for scrap disposal must possess valid business registration (SECP for companies or relevant provincial authority for sole proprietorships), current NTN and GST registration, and may require environmental or industrial licenses depending on provincial regulations. Bidders should verify LESCO's specific requirements in the full bidding document.
