Description / Scope of Work
Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Chichawatni invites sealed bids for the local purchase of medicines and disposable surgical items on SSP funds for the financial year 2026-2027, with an option to extend for three months from July to September 2027. The tender encompasses supply of drugs, medicines, and surgical disposables valued at approximately PKR 15 million. Bidding is open to interested firms, agencies, and distributors with financially sound backgrounds and valid retail drug sale licenses operating institutional pharmacy businesses or medical stores. The contract will be awarded on the basis of maximum discount from retail prices, with separate bids invited for multinational company medicines, national company medicines, and disposable surgical items. The procurement will be conducted through the Punjab e-Procurement System using single stage-two envelope procedures as per Punjab Procurement Rules 2014 amended to March 2021.
Eligible bidders must hold a valid pharmacy license on Form 9, possess current renewal or registration certificates for pharmacists in Category-A, and maintain active Sale Tax and Income Tax registrations. Bidders are required to submit a bid security of two percent of the estimated amount online via 1Link in the form of a CDR, pay order, or demand draft from a scheduled bank of Pakistan. Pharmacies must be located within Sahiwal District as per latest Local Purchase Guidelines 2026. Additional requirements include copies of CNIC, last year's tax payment certificates, bank statements covering one to two years, an affidavit confirming the firm is not blacklisted and has not faced penalties under the Drug Act 1976 or DRAP Act 2012, and experience certificates from previous work with public institutions.
Bidding documents are available for download from the e-Procurement Punjab website and the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority website at www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk. Bids must be submitted online via the Punjab e-Procurement System before 10:00 AM on 6 August 2026. Bid opening will take place at 10:30 AM the same day at the office of the Medical Superintendent.
