Description / Scope of Work
THQ Hospital Kahuta, District Rawalpindi, Punjab, invites electronic bids from interested firms and agencies for supply of medicines, surgical items and disposables under a framework contract for the financial year 2026-27. The estimated budget is PKR 6.0 million. The contract covers multinational company medicines, national company medicines, and disposable or surgical items supplied on a DDP basis (delivered to the hospital's premises) with all transportation and storage charges included in the quoted price. Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding using a single-stage two-envelope procedure as per Punjab Procurement Rules PPRA 2014 (amended 2022).
Eligible bidders must be registered on the Punjab e-Procurement System (https://ep.punjab.gov.pk/auth/login) and must hold a valid retail drug sale license (Category A) issued by the relevant regulatory authority. Bidders must also be financially sound and either running an institutional pharmacy business, operating a chain of pharmacies, or acting as registered distributors. A bid security of 2 percent of the estimated budget must be submitted in the form of a CDR, pay order, or demand draft from a scheduled bank of Pakistan, made payable to the Medical Superintendent THQ Hospital Kahuta. NTN and Sales Tax registration certificates must be uploaded with the bid, along with a copy of the valid and renewed Category A drug sale license.
Bidding documents are available free of cost from the Health and Population Department (pshealthpunjab.gov.pk), PPRA website (www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk), and the Punjab e-Procurement System until the tender closing date. Bids must be submitted electronically by 10:30 AM on 10 August 2026; technical bid opening will occur at 11:00 AM the same day at the office of the Medical Superintendent. Bidders are requested to provide their best and final prices based on maximum discount from retail price, as no post-submission negotiations are anticipated.
