For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

PSO seeks contractor for concrete paver laying and lean concrete base work totalling 430 square metres at Quetta Depot. Work is relatively straightforward surface preparation and paving but includes 1.5 cubic metres of concrete casting. Timeline is tight: 30 days for completion with 0.10 per cent daily penalty. Quantities are stated as 'estimated' and subject to variation, creating cost uncertainty. This appears a one-off depot maintenance project rather than framework contract. Successful bidder must demonstrate HSE compliance, equipment availability (10-ton roller minimum) and ability to source precast pavers meeting 7000 psi strength.
Who can bid: The notice does not specify registration or licensing requirements. Typically, contractors undertaking construction work in Pakistan must hold current Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration (Category B or higher for paving work), National Tax Number (NTN) with Federal Board of Revenue, and relevant SECP/business registration. PSO-specific vendor approval may be required; capability to comply with depot HSE/security protocols is mandatory.
