Description / Scope of Work
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) invites bids for the supply and installation of a 10 KVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system on a DDP-PKR basis inclusive of all applicable taxes. The tender is issued under reference number Proc.5-1/2/150626/4817 in accordance with PTCL requirements and the detailed scope of work. This is a single-item procurement for power backup equipment required to support PTCL operations across Federal locations in Pakistan. The bid submission deadline is 06 August 2026 before 11:59 PM, and bidders must ensure their proposals are complete in all aspects and comply with the procedures laid down in the request for proposal.
Bidders must be registered vendors with PTCL, and unregistered vendors are required to obtain vendor registration code (VR Code) prior to bid submission through the designated registration portal. A bank guarantee (bid security) equivalent to PKR 500,000 issued by a first-class or scheduled bank located in Pakistan is mandatory and must remain valid for six months from the date of issuance. Non-compliance with the bid security requirement will result in automatic disqualification from further processing. All bids must be submitted exclusively through the SAP Ariba Platform using the provided portal link; no alternative submission methods are accepted.
Bid documents are available through the SAP Ariba portal link provided in the tender notice. Interested vendors should download the vendor registration form from PTCL's official website to complete their registration. All correspondence regarding this tender should be directed to the G.D. Ops & Contract Management office located at Room 224, 2nd Floor, E Block, PTCL Office, G-8/4, Islamabad, via email at Tanvir.ahmad@ptclgroup.com. PTCL reserves the right to reject any or all bids and cancel the bidding process at any time without incurring liability or obligation to inform bidders of the reasons for such action.
For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
PTCL is procuring a single 10 KVA UPS unit with full supply and installation. The modest contract scale suggests a routine equipment replacement rather than a major capital project. Vendor registration is mandatory—unregistered firms cannot participate. The PKR 500,000 bid security and SAP Ariba platform submission requirement indicate institutional buyer standards. Closing date (August 2026) is approximately 18 months away, providing unusual lead time; clarify whether this reflects a future procurement schedule or a documentation error before committing resources.
Who can bid: Bidders must be registered with PTCL and hold a valid vendor registration code (VR Code). PTCL registration is non-negotiable; the notice explicitly states that unregistered vendors must register before bid submission. Bidders typically require Pakistani business registration (SECP/NTN) and should be authorized distributors or manufacturers of UPS equipment meeting PTCL technical specifications.
