Description / Scope of Work
The Directorate of Procurement (Navy) invites sealed tenders for the supply of sisal rope in two specifications: 7,320 fathoms of 3-strand bolt rope and stage lashing with 1-inch circumference and 8-mm diameter (NSN 0350-59-571-3173), and 7,680 fathoms of 3-strand hawserlaid rope with 1.125-inch circumference and 10-mm diameter (NSN 0350-59-571-3231). The tender is issued from the Naval Residential Complex, E-8, Islamabad, Federal Province, with a total requirement of approximately 15,000 fathoms of certified maritime-grade sisal rope. Pricing shall be submitted in UK Pounds sterling on a per-fathom basis.
Bidders must be registered suppliers capable of providing certified sisal rope compliant with ISO 1181-2004 specifications and manufacturing standards per ISO 9554:2019. Testing must conform to ISO 2307:2019. Valid certification from Lloyd's, DNV, BSI or other IACS Member Society is mandatory, along with OEM Certificate of Conformance. Bid security (earnest money) must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope. Tender documents must include DP-1, DP-2 and DP-3 forms, duly completed and signed, along with bank challan, principal authorization letter where applicable, tax filing proof, and DGDP registration letter if applicable.
Tenders must be submitted in three sealed envelopes containing technical offer in duplicate, earnest money, and commercial offer respectively. Tenders close for acceptance at 10:30 hours and open at 11:00 hours on 2 September 2026.
