The Horticultural Research Station Bahawalpur, operating under the direction of the Project Director and Horticulturist, invites sealed bids for the supply and delivery of 200 tissue cultured datepalm nursery plants across eight approved varieties: Mebroom, Qalma, Deglet Noor, Safawi, Khunezi, Burni, Suckri and Zaghlol, with 25 plants required of each variety. The estimated procurement value is Rs. 10,000,000 (Ten Million), with tender reference number 534/F-ADP/PDP. Delivery is required to the Principal Scientist at Horticultural Research Station, Model Town-A, Bahawalpur, in Punjab province. The plants must be tissue cultured, imported exotic varieties with well-developed root systems, minimum plant height of 45 centimetres, at least four mature leaves or fronds, and supplied in pots of at least 20 centimetres length with soilless media.
Bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue for Sales Tax and Income Tax purposes, with copies of registration certificates attached to their tender submissions. A Bid Security in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt equivalent to three percent of the estimated cost is mandatory. Successful bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Guarantee of ten percent of the total contract value in Pakistani Rupees, and submit an Affidavit valued at 0.25 percent of the contract value to execute the contract. The bids must be submitted in the Single Stage-two envelope procedure as prescribed under clause 38(1) or 38(2) of the Punjab Procurement Rules, 2014.
Bidding documents are available for purchase until 26th August 2026. Sealed tenders must be received by 11:00 a.m. on 27th August 2026, with opening scheduled for 11:30 a.m. the same day. Contractors must ensure free delivery of plants in safe and sound condition, and must provide DNA fingerprinting reports from the exporting country's Bio-Tech laboratory and phyto-sanitary certificates confirming clearance from pathogens, insects and diseases. Liquidated damages of two percent per month or part thereof shall apply to belated supplies.
