For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
PSO seeks contractors for a moderate-scale canopy replacement project at a Karachi retail outlet involving approximately 6,500–8,800 square feet of sheet metal work, drainage systems, waterproofing, and false ceiling installation.
The scope is well-defined with multiple line items, suggesting a structured project rather than a one-off ad hoc repair. Cost recovery includes credit for salvaged old material, which may favour experienced operators. Tight compliance requirements around HSE and PPE indicate PSO's rigorous safety posture; contractors must have robust systems in place. The closing date is tight, allowing limited preparation time.
Who can bid: The notice does not explicitly state PEC category, registration, or NTN requirements. Typically, contractors undertaking M&R works in Pakistan must hold valid PEC registration (Category G-III or G-II for small-to-medium maintenance), valid NTN, and relevant trade membership. PSO may also require previous experience on similar retail/commercial projects and HSE certification compliance.
