Description / Scope of Work
Karachi Port Trust invites sealed electronic bids from eligible contractors for conducting three exploratory boreholes to support the establishment of a reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment plant at various locations within Karachi, Sindh. The scope of work encompasses drilling operations to a depth of approximately 700 feet with temporary casing as required, development and flushing of boreholes, water sampling and testing at multiple intervals (80 to 100 feet), and preparation of a comprehensive hydro-geological report. Water quality parameters to be tested include total dissolved solids, electrical conductivity, hardness, pH value, chlorides, sulphates, and bacteriological analysis. The tender reference is P49379 with an estimated project value reflective of the technical and testing requirements involved.
Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in Category C-6 or above, with valid registration on the date of tender opening. Both FBR and SRB registration is mandatory. A tender fee of Rs. 3,000 (non-refundable) and bid security of Rs. 25,000 (refundable) in the form of a pay order must accompany the submission. Interested bidders are required to submit copies of valid PEC certificate, NTN and SRB certificates, online tax verification, audited financial statements for the past three years demonstrating minimum average turnover of Rs. 1 million, and an affidavit confirming non-defaulter status and absence from any blacklisting.

All bids must be submitted electronically through e-PADS v2.0 on or before Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
