KWSSIP-2 is issuing a Request for Bids for civil works in Karachi under World Bank financing.
The two-envelope process without prequalification suggests moderate contract value and complexity typical of urban water infrastructure projects. No specific cost estimate is disclosed in the notice. The September 2026 deadline allows approximately 1.5 months for bid preparation. This appears to be part of a phased programme, indicating potential for repeat contracts if performance is satisfactory. Bidders should confirm PEC category eligibility and World Bank compliance requirements before proceeding.
Who can bid: Bidders must typically hold valid PEC registration in an appropriate category for civil/water engineering works. NTN and SECP registration are typically required for corporate entities. The two-envelope format without prequalification means technical and financial capability will be evaluated post-opening. No specific turnover or prior experience thresholds are stated in the notice, but World Bank procurement standards typically apply.
