The Punjab Highway Department, South Zone, through Highway Division Layyah, invites bids for special repair of a metalled road extending 1.22 kilometres from Veterinary Hospital Basti Rasheed Abad to Bhu Basti Gishkori, including an irrigation canal (I/C) bridge. The estimated contract value is PKR 19,939,749, with a completion period of six months. This road rehabilitation project falls under the Layyah district in Punjab province and is open to registered engineering firms and contractors meeting the eligibility criteria outlined in the tender notice.
Participating contractors and firms must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and codes, and must maintain active registration on the Punjab PPRA e-Procurement website at www.ep.punjab.gov.pk. Bid security equivalent to 2 percent of the estimated cost (PKR 398,795) must be submitted digitally through the Punjab e-Procurement System only; physical instruments such as CDRs, pay orders, drafts, or cashier cheques are not accepted. The successful lowest-evaluated bidder shall provide a Performance Guarantee at 5 percent of the contract amount within 15 days of receiving the offer letter, valid for three months beyond the completion date. All bidders must quote firm item rates for each line item as well as the grand total; rates quoted as percentages above or below the approved cost will not be accepted.
Bidders should upload their bids on the e-Procurement portal before the closing deadline. The tender opening will take place at the office of the Commissioner, DG Khan Division, on 16 September 2026 at 1:00 PM, where all bids will be retrieved and the quoted rate of the successful bidder announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee. TST, DST, and surfacing work must be executed using a mechanised system. No price variation is admissible.
