Description / Scope of Work
The Local Government & Rural Development Department, Tehsil (HQ), District Karak is inviting sealed tenders through the ePADS electronic procurement system for eight developmental solar solarization schemes to be executed under the Accelerated Sustainable Development Initiative for District Karak (ASDI). The works comprise community-based and home-based solar installation projects across different village councils in Tehsil Takht-e-Nasrati (PKG-I and PKG-II packages) and in PK-98 administrative area. The estimated total cost ranges from Rs 1.00 million to Rs 2.00 million per work package, with cumulative project value approximately Rs 14.29 million. All works are located in District Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Bidders must be government contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and enlisted with the C&W Department under the Centralized Enlistment Policy of KPK for the current financial year. Bid security at 2 percent of the estimated cost must be submitted in favor of the Assistant Director (Sr.), LG&RDD Karak. Bidders quoting up to 10 percent below engineer's estimate must submit 2 percent bid security; those quoting 10-20 percent below must submit an additional 8 percent security; bids exceeding 20 percent below require detailed rate analysis and additional security equivalent to the discount differential. All bids must be accompanied by PEC-relevant codes and valid PEC and KPPRA registrations for the current financial year.
Bid solicitation documents are available for download from www.eprocure.gov.pk and the KP-PPRA website after NIT publication. Clear scanned copies of neatly completed bid documents must be uploaded via ePADS. Electronic bid submission closes on 14 September 2026 at 11:00 AM, with bid opening at 12:30 PM the same day. Bid securities must be physically delivered to the office of the Assistant Director, LG&RDD Karak (near KDA Hospital, District Council Secretariat) by the submission deadline. Online clarification is available until 5:00 PM on 7 September 2026. Material testing and all technical tests will be performed at the contractor's cost and risk.
