Description / Scope of Work
The Pakistan Meteorological Department, an Executive Department of the Government of Pakistan under the Ministry of Defence, invites bids through PPRA ePADS 2.0 for repair, restoration and external beautification works at its Headquarters Office in Islamabad, Sector H-8/2. The project encompasses comprehensive rehabilitation of the Executive Block, Admin Block, Capacity Building (Research and Development), Forecasting Building, Boundary Wall, and Parking Sheds. Work scope includes civil and structural repairs such as wall, floor and ceiling refurbishment, minor masonry repairs, broken and deteriorated tile replacement, electrical installations, plumbing fixtures and pipelines, paintwork, doors, windows, and carpentry works across all PMD HQ office buildings. The objective is to provide a safe, secure, functional and aesthetically pleasing working environment for staff and visitors while enhancing overall building presentation. Tender reference I&P/Repair/OB/26-27 is issued for single stage one envelope bidding.
Bidders must be reputable firms, individuals, companies, service providers, contractors, suppliers or vendors duly registered with relevant Government Agencies and active tax payers. A Bid Security of PKR 500,000 in the form of Bank Draft, Pay Order, or CDR in favour of D.G. PMD must accompany all bids. Successful bidders shall furnish a Performance Guarantee equivalent to ten percent of the work order value as CDR, Pay Order or Bank Draft in favour of D.G. PMD until project completion. Single Stage One Envelope Bidding Procedure under Rule 36(a) of Public Procurement Rules 2004 will be applied.
