Description / Scope of Work
Punjab Life Insurance Company Limited (PLIC) invites sealed bids from eligible, established and financially sound manufacturers, authorized dealers, distributors and suppliers for the supply and delivery of furniture items under a Framework Contract. The procurement covers nineteen different furniture categories including executive tables, workstations, ergonomic chairs, conference tables, storage cabinets, sofas and lounge chairs, to be supplied to PLIC offices and facilities across Punjab. The scope includes supply, delivery, unloading, assembly, installation and placement of new, unused, defect-free furniture manufactured to commercial-grade corporate standards. This is a framework contract arrangement intended to establish a reliable, recurring procurement mechanism for up to twelve months, designed to reduce lead time for recurring furniture requirements while ensuring competitive rates, consistent quality and prompt delivery.
Bidders must be legally registered with valid NTN and sales tax registration where applicable. A minimum of five years relevant experience in office and corporate furniture supply is required, with evidence of at least ten completed or recent furniture supply contracts of comparable nature during the last five years. Bidders must demonstrate adequate production, sourcing, warehousing and delivery capacity to meet PLIC's short delivery requirements and must not be blacklisted or debarred by any government, public sector organization or competent authority. All materials, boards, laminates, veneers, fabrics, foam, metal components, fittings, hinges and hardware must conform to PLIC specifications, with furniture structurally sound, properly aligned and free from defects. Bidders are required to visit PLIC Head office to inspect samples prior to submitting quotations.
Sealed bids must be submitted before 3:00 PM on 12 October 2026 in accordance with Punjab Public Procurement Rules and PLIC procurement requirements. Bidders must quote a firm and realistic delivery period against each item, with preference given to those offering shorter delivery periods without compromising quality. PLIC reserves the right to inspect samples, factory or warehouse facilities before acceptance and to reject any item not conforming to approved specifications.
