Description / Scope of Work
The Pakistan Navy Military Engineer Services invites pre-qualification applications from contractors and firms for 27 distinct repair, maintenance and renewal works at GE (Navy) South Karachi. The scope encompasses furniture repair and renewal, washroom leakage remediation in the Dialysis Department, main hole cover repairs in residential areas, officer accommodation uplift at COMKAR Pool, roof treatment at the Quran Center, and extensive electrical system maintenance including OCB panels, transformers, distribution cabinets, VCB panels, HT and LT cable replacements, fire extinguishing device installations, water supply pipe repairs, street light pole replacements and internal/external painting works. All works fall under the Area of Responsibility of GE (Navy) South Karachi in Sindh province.
Eligible applicants must be firms or contractors borne on the MES approved list according to their contractual capacity limit, or other Government Department contractors with demonstrated experience in similar work. All applicants must provide valid GST Registration Certificates and National Taxes Number or CNIC for online verification. Contractors not on the MES approved list or those suspended for failure to deposit enhanced standing security must submit earnest money equal to two percent of the estimated bid cost as an FDR or Deposit at Call pledged to GE (Navy) South Karachi, subject to security clearance. This earnest money is refundable if the contractor is not pre-qualified or does not secure the contract.
Applications must include detailed information on works executed during the last two years and those currently in hand, specifying the executing agency, work amounts, time allowed in months, actual completion dates, percentage progress on ongoing works, and department performance reports from the Divisional Engineer or XEN for each project. Tender documents including specifications, drawings and un-priced bills of quantities may be collected free of charge from GE (Navy) South Karachi during working hours at telephone number 021-99332090. All tenders must be submitted by 1130 hours on 12 October 2026 and will be opened at 1200 hours on the same date. The accepting officer reserves the right to reject all bids at any time prior to acceptance.
