Description / Scope of Work
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation invites sealed bids for emergency works relating to the upgradation of a K-Electric substation for the installation of a 425 KVA PMT at Safari Park, Recreation Department, KMC located inside Safari Park on University Road, Karachi East. The estimated tender cost is Rs. 2.281 million and this is civil works for upgradation and reconstruction of an existing substation as per revised K-Electric approved design and current standards. Bidding will be conducted under a Single Stage-One Envelope Procedure via the E-Procurement Submission (EPADS) system in accordance with SPPRA Rules 2010 (amended to date). The tender is open to interested and eligible bidders registered with relevant tax authorities and active on the SPPRA EPADS platform.
Bidders must possess valid active registration with the Income Tax authority and SRB, maintain active registration on SPPRA's EPADS e-procurement system, and demonstrate relevant experience in similar works or services. A mandatory requirement is that bidders must be pre-qualified and registered with K-Electric for execution of electrical works of similar nature, supported by valid documentary proof. A fresh current-date e-stamp affidavit signed and stamped by the firm owner confirming no blacklisting or litigation with any procuring agency is compulsory. Bid security of Rs. 60,000 is required, and each page of the technical proposal must be numbered and attested or signed by the owner with company stamp.
Bidding documents are available online at https://eproc.pprasindh.gov.pk. The first deadline for online submission via EPADS is 14 October 2026 at 3:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time, with bid opening scheduled for 3:30 PM the same day. A second submission attempt is available on 30 October 2026 at 3:30 PM if the tender is unresponded. Bidders must submit the original tender fee of Rs. 2,000 (non-refundable) and bid security pay order as a sealed envelope to the office of the Senior Director, Zoo, Safari & Recreation at Inside Safari Park, Main University Road, Opposite SSGC Office, Karachi, by the submission deadline. Hard copies of bidding documents must accompany online submission to verify authenticity. Queries may be submitted via the EPADS message board before the deadline.
