Description / Scope of Work
The Government of the Punjab has issued a top-priority directive mandating the implementation of an electronic procurement (e-Procurement) system across all public offices, attached departments, autonomous bodies, companies and authorities within Punjab. This directive, dated 9th May 2024 and effective from 1st July 2024, establishes e-Procurement as a mandatory requirement to enhance governance, management transparency, accountability and quality in public procurement of goods, works and services. The implementation covers all administrative departments and district administrations operating within Punjab's jurisdiction, reflecting the government's commitment to achieving economies of scale and operational efficiency in public sector procurement.
All eligible public sector organisations must ensure compliance with the e-Procurement framework as directed. The system aims to standardise procurement processes and improve service delivery across Punjab's administrative apparatus. For technical assistance, queries or support regarding the e-Portal and application features, Mr. Sajid Latif, Director General E-Governance at PITB (Cell No. 0322-8888858) is designated as the primary contact point.
