Description / Scope of Work
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in Bahawalpur, Punjab invites interested parties to participate in the public auction of various agricultural commodities and orchard produce for the 2026 season. The auction, organized by the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, covers a wide range of crops and fruits including wheat, guava, citrus, phalsa, dates, peaches, chilies, and onions from the Department of Horticultural Sciences and the National Cotton Breeding Institute. Prospective bidders must provide a copy of their CNIC and a specific call deposit as security, which varies by commodity, such as 200,000 Rupees for wheat and 70,000 Rupees for guava. Successful bidders are required to pay applicable income tax at rates of 10 percent for filers and 20 percent for non-filers, in addition to other government levies. The auction terms mandate that the successful party must collect the goods within the stipulated timeframe and manage the protection of leased orchards independently. All interested participants can inspect the commodities during university office hours prior to the auction day. The university administration reserves the right to accept or reject any bids without assigning a reason.
