Description / Scope of Work
The Regional Directorate of Food in Karachi, Sindh invites sealed tenders from reputable firms, contractors, and interested parties for the transportation of wheat and bardana for the crop year 2026-2027. This logistical contract involves the movement of essential food commodities from various districts across Sindh to designated godowns and Permanent Receiving Centers (PRCs) within the Karachi Region. Bidders must possess a fleet of fit and covered vehicles to ensure the safe and secure transit of goods, protecting them from weather and theft. Eligible participants must be registered with the relevant tax authorities, including the Federal Board of Revenue and the Sindh Revenue Board, and must appear on the Active Taxpayers List. The procurement will be governed by the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) Rules 2010. Interested parties are required to submit a bid security in the form of a Pay Order or Bank Guarantee as specified in the bidding documents. Technical and financial proposals must be submitted to the Deputy Director of Food no later than 11:00 AM on 26 May 2026, followed by a formal bid opening process.
