Description / Scope of Work
The Food Department Gilgit-Baltistan in Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan invites sealed bids from reputable Category B contractors, firms, and organizations for the transportation of wheat during the financial year 2026-27. The scope of work involves the logistical movement of wheat from sub-bulk depots to all civil supply centers across the region. This procurement follows the Single Stage Two Envelope bidding procedure in accordance with GB PPRA Rule 39. To be eligible, bidders not currently enlisted with the department must provide a three-year experience certificate, valid identification, and professional credentials. Technical proposals will be opened on 03 June 2026 at 10:30 AM, with financial bids of successful technical qualifiers scheduled for opening on 18 June 2026. Bidders are required to submit a bid security in the form of a CDR, TDR, or bank guarantee amounting to ten percent of the bid value. All transportation risks, including potential losses during transit, remain the responsibility of the contractor.
