Description / Scope of Work
The Executive Engineer Khanewal Division LBDC in Khanewal, Punjab, has issued a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the restoration of a damaged portion of the Sidhnai Minor within the Bati Section of the Old Sidhnai Sub Division. The scope of work includes technical irrigation engineering tasks such as dismantling reinforced cement concrete, excavation using excavators in ordinary soil, and earthwork compaction reaching 95% to 100% maximum modified AASHTO dry density. Further requirements involve laying cement concrete with brick or stone ballast, providing and embedding 10-inch wide PVC water stoppers in expansion joints, and applying bitumen coating to plastered surfaces. The project also entails high-grade reinforced cement concrete work (1:2:4 Type B) for structural members and the fabrication of steel reinforcement using Grade-60 bars. Rates for these activities are based on the Punjab Municipal Research Station (MRS) chapters for earthwork, concrete, and reinforcement.
