Description / Scope of Work
Pakistan Engineering Council is inviting sealed bids for two packages of construction and renovation works in Punjab province, specifically in Rawalpindi district. Package 1 involves conservation and renovation of the Catholic Church Bishop House in Tehsil and District Rawalpindi with an estimated cost of Rs 9,285,476 and earnest money requirement of Rs 185,709. Package 2 covers renovation and construction of Gracy Line Temple located at Chak Lala, Rawalpindi, with an estimated cost of Rs 9,282,562 and earnest money of Rs 185,651. Both projects are scheduled for a duration of 10 months and follow the Single Stage Two Envelopes bidding procedure under PEC standard form of bidding documents.
Bidding is open to contractors holding C6 category certification or above from Pakistan Engineering Council. Eligible bidders must possess valid PEC registration and meet the technical and financial requirements stipulated in the bidding documents. Earnest money at two percent of the estimated cost must be submitted as bid security in the form specified in the contract documents. Bidders should ensure compliance with all mandatory requirements including submission of original certificates and documents proving their eligibility.
Bidding documents are available from Pakistan Engineering Council Islamabad as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders section. The bid submission includes two envelopes: the first containing technical proposals and the second containing financial bids. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes on or before the specified closing date. Technical bid opening will be conducted first, followed by financial bid evaluation for qualified bidders. Interested contractors should obtain complete bidding documents and familiarize themselves with all terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings before submitting their bids.
