Description / Scope of Work
The Highway Division, Sargodha invites sealed bids for maintenance and repair of roads in the P.W.D Colony area in District Sargodha, Punjab. Two separate schemes are advertised under references 1930/D and 1931/D, each with an approximate contract value of Rs 1.292 million. The works comprise providing and laying bituminous tack coat using 5 lbs of bitumen per 100 square feet (0.27 kg per sq.m) and providing and laying plant pre-mixed bituminous carpet including compaction and finishing to required camber, grade and density at 4.30% thickness of 2 inches. The total scope involves 84.50 percent square feet for each work item. Completion time limit is fixed at one month from the date of issuance of work order. Technical sanction has been obtained vide letter No. 1930/D and 1931/D dated 15.05.2026 from the Highway Division, Sargodha.
Contractors and eligible bidders must submit sealed bids in the prescribed format. Bid security (earnest money) of Rs 0.065 million is required to be deposited with each tender submission. All work shall be executed strictly according to the technically sanctioned detailed estimate and specifications. The work shall be excavated using paver machines for rigid pavement and concrete work. Clause 55 is not admissible by the Secretary Civil and Works on special repair works as per letter No. SOH-V(C&W) 2-6/2021 dated 30-06-2022. When discrepancy exists between unit rates and extended total costs, the unit rate shall be taken as correct.
Bid documents are available from the office of the Executive Engineer, Highway Division, Sargodha. Sealed bids must be submitted on or before the closing date specified in the tender notice. Bids will be opened on the scheduled date as per procurement rules. For any items of work not mentioned in the bid schedule if executed, payment shall be made as per prevailing market rates on the Finance Department website for the month of technical sanction or the contractor's quoted rate, whichever is lesser.
