Description / Scope of Work
The Municipal Committee Jauharabad invites competitive bids on item rates basis for execution of works related to arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram 2026. The project encompasses three main components: construction and repair of PCC slab drains, tuffs, pavers, culverts, earth filling, manhole covers and associated infrastructure on Muharram routes within MC Jauharabad with an estimated cost of 620,000 PKR; provision and laying of stone dust (khaka) on Muharram routes in Jauharabad with an estimated cost of 650,300 PKR; and supply and erection of street light material in MC Jauharabad with an estimated cost of 783,500 PKR. The total project cost is 3.54 million PKR. These works are being tendered for the financial year 2025-26 under PPRA rules for the period from 1st January 2026 to 30th June 2026.
Eligible bidders must be registered contractors or firms with valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) licenses in the respective category for the year 2025-26. Bidders are required to submit 5 percent earnest money deposit in the form of CDR from any scheduled bank in Punjab in favor of the Chief Officer, Municipal Committee Jauharabad. The original CDR must be physically submitted to the tender opening committee two hours before the opening of bids. Bidders must possess active tax payer status including PRA, FBR, Income Tax, and E-Pad registration. All bids must be submitted on the Standard Bidding Document provided by the department on E-Pads platform and must include rates quoted both in figures and words.
Intending contractors may obtain bidding documents from the Engineering Branch of Municipal Committee Jauharabad from the date of tender notice publication through the E-Pads portal. Bids must be submitted electronically through E-Pads from the publication date until 1st June 2026 at 01:00 PM. All received bids will be opened on the same date at 02:00 PM in the office of Municipal Committee Jauharabad in the presence of available contractors or their authorized representatives. If the lowest bidder's quoted rates exceed the estimated cost by more than 5 percent, additional performance security must be deposited within 15 days of notice issuance. Incomplete, cutting, overwriting or non-standard bids will be rejected automatically. Upon acceptance letter issuance, successful contractors must execute agreements on stamp paper within 15 days for work order issuance.
