Description / Scope of Work
The Irrigation Department, Government of Punjab invites sealed bids for the concrete lining of Ditch Khudian in the Disty (District) area, extending from Road Datum 0+000 to 16+900 (Tail section), for a sanctioned estimate of Rs. 59,283,928. This comprehensive irrigation infrastructure project involves the structural improvement and waterproofing of a drainage channel through reinforced cement concrete lining to enhance water conveyance efficiency and prevent seepage losses in Punjab's irrigation system.
The scope of work includes uprooting and disposal of Sarkanda growth, extensive earthwork excavation and compaction with specified AASHO dry density standards, borrowpit excavation with controlled transportation, cement plaster application on bed and slope surfaces at 1½ inches thickness in 1:6 ratio, cement concrete lining using washed screened and graded stone aggregate in 1:2:4 ratio on both bed and slope sections, bitumen coating for surface protection, and installation of bituminous joint sealants at specified intervals. Additional work includes excavation in irrigation channels to designed profiles, dowel dressing, and material carriage over distances up to 243 kilometers. The project also encompasses diversion arrangements and reconstruction or remodeling of five patrol and non-patrol bank-side outlets with complete dismantling, refilling, and reinforced concrete work including fabrication of mild steel reinforcement.
Bid documents are available from the Irrigation Department office in Lahore, with submission deadline on the specified closing date. Bidders must possess valid contractor licenses, professional qualification certificates, and provide appropriate bid security as per departmental requirements. Detailed bill of quantities, technical specifications, and drawings are included in the tender package. Bid opening will occur on the scheduled date at the departmental office.
